Course Description
This training covers the essentials that a Solutions Architect will need to use Microsoft Azure as their cloud platform for a project.
The Azure Architect should have advanced experience and knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance.
Prerequisite
- While there are no formal prerequisites to take the AZ-305 exam itself, to earn the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert" certification, you must also have a current Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification. Most people pass the AZ-104 first and then take the AZ-305.

- Certification Name: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-104 + AZ-305, two exams you need to pass)
- Exam Code: AZ-305

- Exam Duration: You are given 120 minutes to complete the exam.
- Exam Format/Number of Questions: The exam consists of various question types, including multiple-choice, drag-and-drop, and case studies. There are typically between 40-60 questions.
- Passing Score: The passing score is 700 out of 1000.
- Exam Fee: $165 USD (may vary by region). For example, in India, the price is approximately ₹4,800 INR.
- Validity: The certification is valid for one year and can be renewed by passing a free online renewal assessment.
- Scheduling: The exam can be scheduled and taken at a Pearson VUE test center or through online proctoring.
